There is a noticeable cold wind that blows into you, coming from the estate ahead. You see several buildings, sticking out from a large clearing like extinguished candles, once lit with life, now long dead.
It is eerily quiet, even the wind is silent, perhaps out of respect for the dead, or out of fear. You approach, traversing the cracked, dried ground, towards the estate...
[!warning] REMINDER - Any demonic or half-demonic characters feel extremely uneasy and uncomfortable.
The abandoned church that is part of the Mossar Manor. It is a small building with a single room and a bell tower.
There are several shades lurking around the church.
The chamber
The room is fairly empty. There is a lot of dust, though you notice no cobwebs. At first glance there is little of note. Surprisingly little. No candleholders, religious tomes or otherwise, not even a loose copper left as an offering to the goddess meant to protect this forsaken place.
As you look around the room, you notice something glisten and shine in the light. It's... Everywhere. Every gap between each stone that makes up the walls, between the blocks of the floor - they shine in the light. The gaps are filled with what appears to be some sort of metal.
[!skill-check] Investigation check (DC 14) Reveals a loose tile in the floor where the Angestine Tome is hidden.
The closer half/demonic characters get to the bell, the worse the uneasiness becomes.
If any of the players are of demonic origin the bell should ring three times (3x back and forth). This is the alarm of the ward in the tower going off, but after so long and without maintenance it's radius and power have diminished.
